Managing partner of Concern Dialog law firm, attorney Aram Orbelyan, and junior partner, attorney Lilit Karapetyan made speeches within Tech Week Gyumri held in Gyumri from July 2 to 4.

Tech Week is a series of technological events, which hosts major Armenian IT events in one place. This year it was held in Gyumri (last year it was organized in Stepanakert, and Vanadzor was chosen as the venue for next year). The main goal of the event is to decentralize Armenia with the help of IT and ensure the development in all regions of Armenia. Organizers believe that creation of new teams in the regions and equipping people with knowledge and skills will create new opportunities in the country and will allow to discover our full potential.      

Concern Dialog was one of the partners of Tech Week 2022, being the only law firm that partnered the event. For over fifteen years the firm has advised many clients in the field of technology and participated in and supported various events in the field. To this day, Concern Dialog continues to have its contribution to the development of the technological community: the company always participates in and supports such events, as well as very actively acts as a consumer of IT solutions in its own operations.

At this event uniting major Armenian IT events in Gyumri, Aram Orbelyan talked about the technology in non-tech companies. He presented the IT solutions used by Concern Dialog and Delex law firms (both operating under Concern-Dialog CJSC) and discussed the positive impact that tech solutions have on the quality of services provided to the clients. Further, a separate emphasis was made on the peculiarities of adopting tech solutions in non-tech companies and the importance of to-the-point management consultancy in this process.

Lilit Karapetyan speech concentrated on the legal aspects of structuring and funding of business. Lilit presented to the participants the main principles that must be considered within structuring and further development of the business and the hidden obstacles that must be considered while structuring the business. She further covered certain frequently asked questions on legal formalities of financing. Lilit emphasized the core principle that no decisions shall be made based on the presumption that “the trends are the better solutions”. Whether this regards the jurisdiction of business, applicable law or relations between investors and employees, the decisions shall be mindful of development of the company and considering the actual needs of the company.
