Businessmen and SCPEC for competition rights in Armenian business environment

March 19, 2013, "Concern-Dialog" law firm managing Partner Mr. Sedrak Asatryan attended a round-table discussion of Armenian businessmen organized by State Comission for Protection of Economic Competition of RA at the World Bank office. The meeting was titled The Exisiting Competition Issues and was aimed at finding mutually beneficial solutions for economic competition matters.
The tense relations between whole-sale and retail trade, the dimentions of customs fees and taxes for import, and some other issues were discussed. The cooperation with other state bodies was emphasized, as the existing issues affect the economic competition in RA, but are out of direct reach of SCPEC (State Comission for Protection of Economic Competition).
As an aftermath of this meeting, the Commision will submit a package of proposals for the Government's review.
