Concern Dialog’s junior partner Lilit Karapetyan acted as an arbitrator and coached for the team of the French University of Armenia at the oral rounds of “Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot”

 

The oral rounds of 30th annual “Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot” were held from 31st to 6th April in Vienna where Concern Dialog Law Firm’s junior partner, attorney Lilit Karapetyan acted as an arbitrator and coached the team of the French University of Armenia. Among the team members was also Concern Dialog’s junior associate Lusine Hakobjanyan.

After months of legal research, written positions, face-to-face and online meetings, practical phases, the French University of Armenia team in Vienna competed against the New York University Abu Dhabi, University of Graz, University of Toulouse and Panthéon-Assas University.

As arbitrator, Lilit was involved in the Government Sindh LawS School vs University of Texas and University of Nairobi vs IE Law school moots.

It shall be noted that the Willem C. Vis Moot is considered the most reputable competition in the sphere of International Commercial Arbitration, the objective of which is to promote international commercial law and arbitration study amongst students.

This moot is called the “Olympic games of international commercial law”. During the moot, the players and the coaches get an opportunity to meet reputable representatives from academia and international law firms.
