International and Constitutional Regulations of the Border Delimitation and Demarcation Process: Discussion with journalists

On November 8, Concern Dialog hosted another event in its ongoing series of meetings with journalists, focusing on the international and constitutional frameworks governing the border delimitation and demarcation process. The discussion centered on how these regulations intersect with Armenia's current realities and challenges.

Aram Orbelyan, Managing Partner of Concern Dialog and an expert in international law, led the discussion. He addressed the complexities surrounding the determination of borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan from the standpoint of international law. Orbelyan also elaborated on the operational guidelines of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Border Demarcation Commission and reviewed relevant decisions, including that of the Constitutional Court, which influence the demarcation process.

Journalists attending the event engaged in an interactive discussion, posing questions related to the topic and delving into the various viewpoints expressed in the media about the ongoing border demarcation efforts. The meeting served as a platform for exchanging perspectives on the intersection of international legal frameworks and Armenia's current border-related challenges.

Reminder: The series of meetings with mass media representatives will be continuous. During each meeting separate legal institutions that are actual at that stage and relate to the work of journalists will be discussed, taking into consideration the availability of respective experience and academic knowledge within the team of the Law Firm over those specific topics.
