Yevgenya Nikoghosyan, Senior associate, attorney, Licensed Trademark Agent at Concern Dialog, participated in an international workshop held in Yerevan, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Armenian Intellectual Property Office (AIPO). The workshop focused on current developments and international best practices in the field of collective management of copyright and related rights.
The event served as an important professional platform for knowledge exchange, expert discussions, and the enhancement of the effectiveness of collective management organizations. During the workshop, participants discussed WIPO services in the area of collective management, as well as effective licensing, collection, and distribution mechanisms.
Special attention was given to copyright infrastructure, efficient models for determining authors’ remuneration, and best practices in governmental oversight and monitoring. The discussions also addressed the challenges and opportunities faced by collective management systems in the digital era.
The workshop featured speakers from leading international organizations, European experts in the field, as well as representatives of public authorities and the professional community of the Republic of Armenia. Participants included representatives of relevant state bodies, professional circles, and the civil society sector.
Concern Dialog’s participation in such initiatives is important for staying abreast of international legal developments, exchanging professional experience, and continuously strengthening expertise in the field of intellectual property law.
